Fighters motivated with Anime in MMA

Anime is broadcasting for a very long time. We all have heard about Dragon Ball Z, Naruto etc. but in last few years there has been surge of fighters that take inspiration out of it. Why is that so?

Probably biggest names in this time of writing are obviously current UFC middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and UFC flyweight contender Roxanne Modafferi. There have been situations where other fighters took something out of anime like Bellators Michael ‘Venom’ Page but no one stands out like mentioned UFC stars.

My thought about this is that they take inspiration out of anime, because their main characters all draw power from within, they prevail everything, they get stronger as fight progresses,. That may be the case with fighters that are surrounded by that veil of Anime, or maybe they use Anime as distraction just like some fighters like to pinch their own nipples because it gives them brief second or two, to shut themselves off completely and forget about everything so they can entirely focus on opponent on the other side.

Roxanne likes it on weigh-ins, but Israel takes it even to the opponents, to distract them and lure them in to an sleek counter. He is true epitome of it, his biggest power IS drawn right out of Anime. He IS living Anime. Israel ‘ The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya!

To keep yourself sharp, i always suggest good reflex punching bag. And this one is one of the best that i had, for a fairly low price AND it is from Amazon, check it out, just press here!
