Daniel Dubois, good up & coming young fighter, is about to get rushed by the end of the year against Wilder, if he gets first through Joe Joyce that is.
Personally, I think that this is not a fighter to rush against fighters like Wilder. He is still young and is still shaping up as a fighter. His fight against Joyce is great for both of them because we have many young talented fighters who are grouped in similar rankings, and this is their opportunity to rise above their rivals.
We have Tony Yoka, Joe Joyce, Dubois and Filip Hrgovic. Good number of prospects. Joyce-Dubois is fight to make, and they made it. Next up in line if you ask me should be Hrgovic-Yoka, their rematch. Let it be prospect elimination. Winners from those two bouts face each other, example. If Dubois wins, and Hrgovic wins, make them fight each other. Winner of that fight, let’s say gets to fight big name like Dereck Chisora, after that let’s say winner of that fight goes against Michael Hunter, and lastly before title fight they have to fight against fighter like Kubrat Pulev, Joseph Parker, Usyk, Ruiz jr. etc.
Point is, there is no need to rush. Dubois is only 22, and to mention him in the same sentence as Wilder, could make him nervous or give him false sense of courage.
